BGR Energy bags Rs 793 cr contract from APGENCO
Chennai, Feb 27 (UNI) BGR Energy Systems Limited has secured a turnkey contract from the Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Limited (APGENCO) for the execution of Balance of Plant(BOP) for the 1 X 500 MW Stage VI - Unit XI Kothagudem Thermal Power Station, valued at Rs 793 crore.
The contract included design, engineering, procurement and construction of complete mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and civil works for the project. The contract would be executed over a period of 26 months, a company release here said today.
BGR Energy had emerged as the largest EPC contractor of power plant - BOP in the country for large power plants of 500 MW and above. It was currently executing three BOP contracts for 500 MW capacity coal-based power projects. The current order book of the company stood at Rs 3,715 crore.
