ADGP takes stock of security arrangement at Vishvanath temple

Varanasi, Feb 27 (UNI) Security arragements at the Vishvanath and Gyanwapi temples was beefed up following the Mahashivratri festival on March 6, the State Additional Director General of Police (security) D K Sharma said here today.

He reviewed the security arrangements and instructed the security personnel, on duty, to maintain strict vigil and regularly check the security equipment installed in the temple premises.

Besides, personally assessing the red zone, yellow zone and other security points, he also addressed the monthly security meeting of Vishvanath and Gyanwapi at the commissioners meeting hall.

Later, he paid obeisance to Lord Shiva in the temple.
