YSR sanctions air travel facilities for MLAs, MLCs

Hyderabad, Feb 26 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today sanctioned air travel facility to MLAs and MLCs for attending Assembly/Council/Committee Meetings from the nearest airport to the place of residence.

Dr Reddy also decided to extend the facility to legislators accompanying Legislature Committees on their tours to other States twice in an year besides hiking the mileage allowance from the existing Rs four per km to Rs ten per km.

Earlier, the Committee on Amenities at its meeting on June five,2007, made its recommendations in this regard, an official release said.
