Woman, lover get lifer for killing husband

Jaunpur, Feb 26: A local court has sentenced a woman along with her lover to life imprisonment for murdering her husband in Antargava area here.

According to prosecution, Santara Devi with her lover Antu Nishad had killed her husband, Omkar Nishad on November 19, 2005 and threw off his body in river Gomti.

On the basis of circumstantial evidence and testimony, Fast Track Court (III) judge Amarjeet Tripathi convicted the accused yesterday, besides slapping a penalty of Rs 20,000 each.
