Rs 6 crore to curb naxalism in MP

Bhopal, Feb 26 (UNI) A special provision of Rs 6 crore was made under the police force modernisation scheme in naxalism-affected districts in Madhya Pradesh, including Sidhi, Home Minister Himmat Kothari informed Legislative Assembly today.

In a written reply to Mr Indrajeet Kumar (Cong), Mr Kothari said residential accommodation, modern weapons, safety equipment and vehicles would be provided to the police force under the scheme.

Mr Kothari said there was no proposal for setting up a police check post at Sihawal in Sidhi district.
