Punjab Police arrest terrorist sympathiser from Delhi

Ludhiana, Feb 26 (UNI) The Punjab Police has arrested a terrorist sympathiser from the IGI International Airport at New Delhi.

Police sources here today said that Bhupinder Singh was arrested last night while he was waiting at the airport to board a flight bound for Germany. He is a resident of Batala and has been to Germany a number of times.

Sources said that he was arrested on inputs provided by the Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terrorists who were arrested in December last year following investigations in the Shingar cinema bomb blast in October which claimed six lives.

The police suspect that Bhupinder Singh was a fund raiser for the BKI module headed by Gurpreet Singh that carried out the Shingar bomb explosion. Gurpreet is currently in judicial custody.
