Power employees defer strike in Bihar
Patna, Feb 26 (UNI) The employees of Bihar State Electricity Board (BSEB) today deferred its proposed indefinite strike from February 27 after the board and Bihar Government filed an affidavit in Patna High Court, stating that service conditions of power employees would not change even after bifurcation of the electricity Board.
The affidavit was filed after the notice was issued to the Board and the State Government by the Court during the hearing of the petition, filed by the High Court Lawyers' Association on January 16. 2008.
The full bench comprising justices Chandramauli Kumar Prasad, Barin Ghosh and Shailesh Kumar Sinha posted the matter for hearing on April 2008, directing the State Government to inform the court about the steps to be taken to protect the interests of the employees.
