Pak rights body wants early transfer of power to elected representatives

Lahore, Feb 26 : The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) has demanded an immediate meeting of the newly elected representatives of national and provincial assemblies of Pakistan and early transfer of power to the successful parties.

HRCP Chairperson Asma Jehangir welcomed the results of February 18 election and appreciated the public for foiling the designs of various elements that wanted to interfere in the electoral process through threats of violence, influence, blackmailing and robbery, The News reported.
