KSRTC bus kills temple elephant in K'taka
Raichur, Karnataka, Feb 26 (UNI) In a tragic incident, an elephant belonging to a temple died on the spot when a speeding KSRTC bus rammed into it from behind near Santekellur village in the district last night.
Police said the pachyderm belonging to Halekoti mutt in Bellary district was returning to the mutt after it was taken to Tinthini Mouneshwara Swamy car festival in Gulbarga district and the bus driver could not sight the animal and rammed into it from behind.
The mahout and the bus conductor were injure in the mishap and were admitted to a hospital.
