BJP is responsible for communal devide: Kumaraswamy
Bangalore, Feb 26 (UNI) Coming down heavily on former ally Bharatiya Janata Party, former Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today charged that the saffron party should be held responsible for the menace of terrorism in the country.
Speaking after participating at a convention of Banjara Community who felicitated him for establishing the Banjara Community Development Corporation during his tenure, he said that if more and more youth belonging to the minority community were turning towards terrorism, it was because of the acts of the BJP which beleived in gaining political power through divisive politics.
Stating that he had no regrets for denying power to the BJP in Karnataka, he said that the BJP leaders did not seek transfer of power in a dignified manner but tried to blackmail him.
Declaring that JD(S) in Karnataka would strive hard for the welfare of all sections of the society if comes to power, he said both BJP and Congress were responsible for the poor development record of the state.
He also criticised former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, who as finance minister under him had not bothered to release money for several pro-poor schemes initited by his party. He described BJP's promise of supplying free power to farmers as 'impractical'.
