Ayesha murder: Oppn stages walkout in AP Assembly
Hyderabad, Feb 26 (UNI) Members of the Opposition TDP, CPI, CPI(M), AIMIM and BJP today staged a walkout in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly in protest against the Government's failure to bring to book the culprits in the Ayesha murder and rape case.
Dissatisfied with Home Minister K Jana Reddy's reply, TDP Legislature Party Deputy leader T Devender Goud led his party colleagues out of the House, alleging that the Government was not sincere in resolving the conspiracy behind the crime.
CPI(M) Floor leader N Narasimaiah led his party colleagues out of the House, protesting the Government's negligent attitude and suppression of material evidence.
CPI Floor leader Ch Venkata Reddy claimed that members of a particular minority community were feeling insecure after the incident, before leading his party members out of the House.
Asking why the police officials concerned were not placed under suspension, AIMIM Legislator Ahamad Pasah Quadri walked out of the Assembly along with his party colleagues.
The two-member BJP Legislature party also staged a walkout after its floor leader G Kishan Reddy questioned the Government on the lack of progress in the investigation even 60 days after the murder.
