AIDS kills couple in MP
Shajapur, MP, Feb 26 (UNI) A couple has died of Acquired Immuno-Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) at this district's Jhandawli village.
Narsingh (32) and Sagunbai (28), who were suffering from AIDS for the past five years, died on February 4.
''Officials have been sent to the village. Narsingh was a blanket-seller and travelled to Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra. He received continuous treatment at hospitals in Mysore and Ujjain. The couple's sons aged seven and ten are also AIDS-affected and proper treatment is being arranged,'' Collector Rajendra Sharma said today. A sum of Rs 5,000 was sanctioned as immediate assistance.
