124 cross LoC at Chakkan-da-Bagh in Poonch
Jammu, Feb 26 (UNI) One hundred and twenty-four civilians crossed the Line of Control (LoC) via Chakkan-da-Bagh, a crossing point at Loc, yesterday in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources here today said .
''Sixty-five people crossed the LoC from Poonch to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) while 59 travelled to this side from PoK,'' sources told UNI." Sixty-five pepole, travelling to PoK, included 23 first timers and those 42, who were returning to their houses after meeting their relatives in this part of the State.
Meanwhile, out of 59 people, who crossed over to this side from PoK, 36 were freshers while 23 were citizens of Jammu and Kashmir, who were coming back after spending nearly a month in PoK, the official sources said.
Seniors officials from both the sides were present on the either sides of the border during the crossing of the LoC by the travellers.
