2 killed, 7 missing as vehicle falls in Brahamputra river

Guwahati, Feb 25: At least two people were killed and seven others were missing after a private vehicle fell into the Brahmaputra river while negotiating an embankment near Majuli River Island this morning.

Official sources said the vehicle was carrying 12 people and moving through the embankment when the accident occurred, killing two women on the spot.

Three people were rescued while seven others were still missing so far, the sources added.
