Two-day Bank strike withdrawn in Bihar

Patna, Feb 25: The two-day Bank strike from today in Bihar, along with the rest of the country, has been deferred following a new round of talks between the Indian Banks Association (IBA) and the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU), the strike's sponsor.

Announcing the decision to temporarily defer the all-India strike, Banks Employees' Federation, Bihar, General Secretary B Prasad told UNI here today that following the new development all public and private sector banks and RRBs would remain open on February 25 and 26.

Expressing hope that all their demands would be met in today's meeting, Mr Prasad also thanked the IBA for deciding to meet the UFBU leaders for reaching an amicable solution to the issue.
