RSS making bombs: Diggy repeats
Bhopal, Feb 25 (UNI) Congress General Secretary and former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Digvijay Singh today said that he was still standing by his earlier charge that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) was manufacturing bombs.
''I have proof in the form of a video tape. The RSS challenged my allegation in court where I submitted arguments. During my tenure, I recommended to the Centre that the RSS and Jamait-i-Islami be banned,'' he said while responding to journalists' queries in the Assembly press room.
Training guns at the RSS and Bharatiya Janata Party, Mr Singh said that those organisations played politics in the name of terror.
''I hope that the Congress state executive will be formed soon,'' he added.
Refuting Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's accusations about the Centre discriminating against this state on the assistance front, Mr Singh alleged that -- during his chief ministership -- the Centre's then National Democratic Alliance regime slashed assistance by Rs 4,000 crore and went against the Finance Commission's recommendation.
