Naveen announces new package for Kandhamal

Bhubaneswar, Feb 25 (UNI) Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced a number of packages for all round development of Kandhamal district.

The announcements were made after a high level meeting held under the Chairmanship of the chief minister.

A technical training institute in Kandhamal district will be set up to impart vocational training and generate employment for the youths while a BEd College would be established.

Official sources here said in view of the demand for organic vegetables, produced in the district, in the country and abroad, the government had also decided to open a horticulture training centre in the district.

The government, the sources said, also decided to set up a nursery for vegetables, flowers, fruits and medicinal plants for afforestation.
