Mumbai, Feb 25 (UNI) Larsen and Toubro Limited (L&T) Chairman and Managing Director A M Naik has been appointed as the Knight of Order of Dannebrog by Queen Margarethe of Denmark.

The Knight Cross was formally presented to Mr Naik by Ambassador of Denmark Ole Lansmann Poulsen here today, according to a company release.

Mr Naik is the Honorary Consul General of Denmark in Mumbai.

Accepting the honour, Mr Naik said, ''I am proud that this honour has come at a significant moment. This is a landmark year for L&T as the company has completed 70 years since its formation and we are also celebrating the birth centenary of L&T Co-founder Henning Holck-Larsen.'' UNI VK NM SK HS1443
