Kindney racket kingpin Dr Amit remanded to 1-month judicial custody

Jaipur, Feb 25(UNI) Notorious Kidney racket kingipin Dr Amit Kumar alias Sunny was remanded to a month's judicial custody till March 24 by a fast track court here today.

Dr Amit was wanted in three cases of illegal kidney transplant pending against him at Sodala police station in Jaipur. In the same case, two doctors -- Dr Basant Fadia and Dr Suresh Gupta -- were sentenced to life imprisonment by a lower court earlier this year while Dr Amit was absconding.

Dr Amit, who was brought here by Ambala police, was produced in the fast track court number two and was remanded to one-month judicial custody.
