Kerala to introduce welfare fund for NRKs

Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 25: Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan today informed the Assembly that the government had decided to introduce a welfare fund for Non-Resident Keralites (NRKs).

In a written reply to Mr M V Sreyams Kumar (JD), he said the draft report in this regard was under the government's scrutiny.

The government was seriously considering to issue identity cards to the NRKs and was also examining the proposal to establish a company, by channelising the investment of NRKs, Mr Achuthanandan added.
