Honda Siel starts Greater Noida plant

Noida, Feb 25: Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) today inaugurated its new production facility at Greater Noida with an enhanced capacity of 1,00,000 vehicles annually and a total investment of Rs 1,620 crore.

Speaking on the occasion, President and CEO M Pakedagawa said, ''having completed the capacity expansion to 1,00,000 units annually, we are also gearing up to start operations of our second plant in Rajasthan by 2009. With the completion of this enhanced production facility, HSCI has now increased its capacity from 50,000 to 100,000 units. The Greater Noida facility produces Honda City, Honda Civic and Honda Accord.
