Gaya's brassware industry in doldrums

Gaya, Feb 25, 2008 : Traditional brassware artisans of Gaya for whom moulding brass utensils is an integral part of life are nowadays struggling for survival in the face of the onslaught of stainless steel and other modern synthetic kitchenware in the market.

In fact, over 80 families of the Kasera community are gradually giving up their traditional craft of moulding brass utensils due to several constraints.
