Efforts on to retrieve encroached properties: TN Wakf Board
Karur, Feb 25 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Wakf Board President Hyder Ali said efforts were on to retrieve the properties of Wakf Board, presently encroached by individuals.
Addressing a press conference here yesterday, he said the encroachments would be removed irrespective of the individual's political affiliations.
He alleged that the previous AIADMK regime had leased the prime properties of the board for 99 years to private parties, violating the existing norms.
The board was now taking steps to cancel such illegal lease agreements, he added.
