Cong MP tenders apology

Hyderabad, Feb 25 (UNI) Beleaguered Congress MP V Arunkumar, whose remarks purportedly on the Constitution drew protests, tonight tendered an unconditional apology to the Dalits as protests by political parties and Dalit organisations continued for the second day today.

Tendering the apology with folded hands, Mr Arunkumar said, ''I have hurt the feelings of my Dalit brothers. I do not know whether I am right or wrong. The State Government holding any inquiry is a separate issue. I am tendering an unconditonal apology.'' UNI SM/AP GM MIR BST2247
