BCs to tie-up with actor Chiranjeevi in assembly poll

Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, Feb 25 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh BCs Ayikya Sangharshana Samithi President VGR Naragoni today said majority of the BCs were in favour of a tie-up with film actor Chiranjeevi.

Talking to newspersons here, he said BCs were having faith in the leadership of Mr Chiranjeevi and his commitment for the uplift of backward and oppressed classes. Though the Samithi wanted to support the parties that offer maximum number of seats to the BCs, they would prefer to go for an alliance with the actor, when he floats his party, despite Telugu Desam Party(TDP)'s offer to allocate 33 per cent seats in the coming assembly poll.

Mr Naragoni said the Samiti would not focus on Telangana issue, as creation of smaller states would not improve the prospects of BCs.

He said he would address meetings at Rajahmundry, Kakinada and and Amalapuram in a few days to create awareness on BCs.
