Bank employees defer two-day strike, agreement likely with IBA today

Mumbai, Feb 25 (UNI) The two-day bank employees strike scheduled for today and tomorrow has been deferred following talks with the Indian Banks Association (IBA).

United Forum of Banks Union Spokesman told UNI that the Forum members are meeting IBA representatives today to iron out the differences and resolve the demands which include dropping of merger of associate banks with State Bank of India (SBI), wage revision, another pension option and termination of contract employment.
