5 drowned to death, one person missing
Mumbai, Feb 25 (UNI) Five employees, two of them women, of Reliance in Thane, were drowned off the Divyasagar beach at Shriwardhan in neighbouring Raigad district today.
A sixth employee, 25-year-old Noor Mansoori, is still missing, police said.
The employees were on a picnic at the Divyasagar beach. Later, they went for a swim but were swept away due to the high tide, police said.
Fire brigade personnel and life guards have recovered five bodies. The deceased have been identified as Manoj Parmar (35), Mamta Nahag (25), Nasir Sheikh (35), Nilkhant Aiyer (26), and King Paul (30).
