State MP's to meet PM to discuss on various issues: Minister

Bangalore, Feb 24 (UNI) Members of Parliament representing Karnataka will meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on February 27 to appeal to him to solve long standing issues pertaining to state, Union Minister of state for Planning M V Rajashekaran said today.

Speaking to news persons, after attending a private function here today, he said that all the members of both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha representing the State would meet tomorrow and decide the issues to be taken up before the Prime Minister.

Stating that the Sugarcane growers in Karnataka were facing a crisis he said the MP's would urge Dr Singh to intervene in the issue and find a suitable solution.

"All the MPs irrespective of the party affiliations will meet and discuss issues pertaining to Karnataka," Mr Rajashekaran said.
