London, Feb 24 : He might have become the fastest cyclist in the world, but Mark Beaumont's achievement has caused serious trouble to his legs.

The 25-year-old Scot, who became the fastest person ever to cycle round the world, is now having trouble walking.

The 25-year-old Scot cycled 18,297 miles in 194 days, 17 hours - smashing the previous record by 81 days.

However, the gruelling journey has left his legs in so much of pain that he cannot stand on his feet.

Mark said that he would have to spend months 'de-training' to stand on his feet.

"I find walking really hard. If I were to stop de-training now, I'd probably have a lot of difficulty in ever starting to walk again," The Daily Record quoted Beaumont, as saying.
