Man, 3-year-old child killed in road accident

Rajkot, Feb 24 (UNI) Two members of a marriage party were killed and seven others injured when a van in which they were travelling, collided head-on with a truck near Toda village in Lathi taluka of Amreli district yesterday.

The van was proceeding towards Pipaliya village, police said.

The deceased have been identified as Bharatbhai Patel (40) and three-year-old Satyam, the sources said.

The newly-married couple -- Alpesh Malaviya (25) and Niruben (23) -- were among the injured and have been admitted to the Amreli Civil Hospital with serious injuries.
