Gowda accuses media of 'hyping' terrorism in K'taka
Hubli, Feb 24 (UNI) Accusing the media of creating a 'hype' on the alleged terrorist activities in Karnataka, former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda today said terrorism was a global problem and was not limited to any state or country.
Talking to newspersons here, he said the JD(S) would raise the terrorism issue in the coming budget session of Parliament.
Mr Gowda said the JD(S) would emerge stronger in the coming mid-term elections to the state Assembly.
Referring to the problems faced by sugarcane growers, he said he had sent a letter to the Karnataka Governor, highlighting the farmers' problems.
''I am expecting a positive response from the Governor on the sugarcane farmers' problems,'' he added.
