Drunken driving: Car crash claims two lives
New Delhi, Feb 24 (UNI) In a case of drunken driving, two students, including a woman, were killed and two others seriously injured in a high speed car crash near India Gate here early this morning.
Police said Sneha Kapoor and Anirudh Rawat, both Delhi University students, died on the spot when their car collided with a tree at around 0300 hrs.
Satyajeet and Gaurav, DU students, were seriously injured and rushed to hopsital.
All the four people were returning home from a late night party and were in an inebriated condition when the driver-- Anirudh-- lost control over the car resulting in the accident, the police added.
Investigations are in progress.
