Porter attempts suicide

Narsinghpur, MP, Feb 23 (UNI) A 33-year-old porter, who was annoyed by his unemployment, attempted suicide by immolating himself at this district's Gotegaon area, police said today.

Deepchand Kol, porter in local Krishi Upaj Mandi, was depressed over his unemployment and irked over family disputes doused kerosene over him and set himself on fire today.

He sustained severe burn injuries and was admitted to a hospital in Jabalpur, police added.
