Leopard poached, two detained

Panna, MP, Feb 23 (UNI) A leopard has been killed by poachers at Amdhara village in this district, forest department sources said today.

The leopard had gone to drink water near dam area yesterday when poachers opened fire on it. The body was found near the border of Damoh district about 100 km from here.

The animal was cremated today after necropsy. Two suspected poachers had been detained for interrogation and three guns seized from them.
