Govt committed to strengthening information system
Samastipur, Feb 23(UNI) Bihar's Information and Public Relation minister Arjun Rai today said the state government is committed to strengthening the Information System.
Addressing a press conference here, Mr Rai said the government has provided grants of Rs 34 lakh to each of the districts for building ''Suchna Bhawan'' and work was in progress especially in Bhagalpur, Khagaria, Motihari and Gaya where it would be completed by this year-end.
The Cabinet has given its nod to the new advertising policy and would be implemented very soon Mr Rai said adding all the advertisements of Corporations, Municipal bodies and other departments of the government would be given to the newspapers, magazines and TV channels according to the provisions of new advertisement policy.
When asked about the journalist pension scheme, the minister said it is under consideration and we are studying the provisions in other states to benefit the journalist.
