Ex-minister shot at

Gorakhpur, Feb 23 (UNI) Unidentified miscreants shot at ex Uttar Pradesh minister Hari Shankar Tiwari at Maniram village near Chiruataal station on national highway here this evening.

Mr Tiwari, however, was left unhurt in the incident, police said.

The ex-minister was en route from Sunauli to Gorakhpur when the miscreants opened fire at his car.

His bodyguard became target of the stray bullet.

Meanwhile, a case had been registered and a manhunt launched.
