DU's foreign students form association
New Delhi, Feb 23 (UNI) Foreign students from across 15 countries have formed an association for the first time in Delhi University's 86-year-old history.
It has been formed under the banner of the 'Foreign Students Association'.
Stating this, Delhi University Students Union president Amrita Bahri said all efforts will be made to get this association registered.
The newly-appointed members are Ilyas Noor from Afghanistan, Helen Dalali(Tanzania), Prisca Pato (Kenya), Molelewa Mashala, (South Africa), Shravan Kumar(Mauritius), Hamid Faqri from Afghanistan and Abdullahi Noor (Kenya).
The FSA's inaugural function was held as part of Confluence 2008, organised by the Delhi University Students Union and Indian Council for Cultural Relations.
Minister of state for External Affairs Anand Sharma attended the event.
