BSP Faizabad chief among 2 killed in mishap

Faizabad, Feb 23: Two persons, including the city president of the ruling Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Ranjit Nishad, were killed and as many others were seriously injured, when their car collided with a stationary truck here this morning.

They were returning from Jaunpur, when the accident took place near Katehari Bazaar under Ahirauli police station area, police said.

While Nishad and driver Vijay Shukla died on the spot, Deepchandra Singh and Chet Narain Singh got seriously injured.

The injured were being brought to Lucknow for treatment, police added.

Meanwhile, getting the information, State Transport Minister Ram Achal Rajbhar has reached the spot.
