Tribal woman gives birth to baby at bus stand,
Shivpuri, MP, Feb 22 (UNI) An angwadi worker has been removed and two workers suspended in connection with the case of a pregnant tribal woman, who was returned by a government hospital due to lack of blood, giving birth to a child at bus stand in this district.
Collector Manish Srivastava has issued show cause notice to hospital gyanecologist Uma Jain and block medical officer K D Srivastava besides directing disciplinary action against three nurses.
Anganwadi worker Mithilesh was removed, while other workers Mayanayar and Manjulata Dubey were suspended.
Hathigada Hatod village-resident Ram Autar's wife Ramveti (30) had gone to the district hospital for delivery on February 19.
However, doctors told her that family members that Ramvati lacked blood and asked them to arrange blood or take her back.
Family sources said Ramvati had given birth to a child at the bus stand while returning. Later, on receiving information, health officials took the woman and the child to hospital.
