Reject Paloli Mohammed Committee's recommendations: BJP
Alappuzha, Feb 22 (UNI) BJP Kerala President P K Krishnadas today urged the State Government to reject Paloli Mohammedkutty Committee's recommendations on Sachar Committee report.
Speaking to reporters here, Mr Krishnadas said there was no need to provide reservation for Muslims, as there were 24 engineering colleges and several medical colleges under various Muslim managements.
''The Hindus needed reservation as there is only one engineering college under their management,'' he added.
Mr Krishnadas warned that caste based categorisation would only trigger violence in the country.
The committee set up by the LDF Government under State Local Administration Minister Paloli Muhammedkutty to study the Sachar Committee report, on Thursday submitted its recommendations to improve the educational, social and economic status of the Muslim community in Kerala.
