Pass resolution for separate Vidarbha: Athavale

Mumbai, Feb 22 (UNI) Republican Party of India-Athavale (RPI) president Ramdas Athavale today asked Maharashtra chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh to pass a resolution for a separate Vidarbha in the coming budget session of the state legislature.

Mr Athavale made the request when he called on Mr Deshmukh here.

During the meeting, the RPI chief raised various issues, including loan waiver to farmers, increasing funds for backward development corporations and naming of Mumbai Central station after Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar.
