Gold ornaments seized, 2 detained

Varanasi, Feb 22 (UNI) The Dashswamedh police today detained two persons and recovered gold ornaments worth several lakhs of rupees from their possession.

Suspecting it to be a matter of tax evasion, cops called on the trade tax officials.

On interrogation, they confessed to the crime, saying they used to visit Varanasi regularly from Kanpur and supply gold ornaments in the Bullion market.
