Village Accountant and Revenue Inspector arrested
Bangalore, Feb 21 (UNI) Lokayukta police arrested a Village Accountant and a Revenue Inspector of Koratagere for allegedly accepting a bribe for showing an offical favour.
Official sources said that Dharmanna, a village accountant had demanded a bribe of Rs 10,000 to change a khatta in the name of H K Shasikumar for a land purchased by his father Krishnaswamy.
The village accountant had agreed to accept Rs 7,500 and directed the complainant to hand over the money to Revenue Inspector Shankarananada.
Lokayukta police caught him redhanded while accepting the bribe, they said.
