TN Govt directive to cardholders on LPG
Chennai, Feb 21 (UNI) The Tamil Nadu Government today directed all family cardholders in the State to furnish the cards to their LPG distributors while booking the refill and get them stamped.
An official release here today said on verification it was found cardholders with LPG connections were also getting keresone from the public distribution System (PDS).
LPG consumers without family cards should obtain a 'No Card Certificate' from taluk supply officers or apply for new family cards and get acknowledgement which should be furnished to the LPG distributors to continue to get refill.
It said the Centre's kerosene allocation to the State was inadequate to meet the requirements of family cardholders under PDS.
However, the Tamil Nadu Government had taken all efforts to supply kerosene to new family cardholders and ordered one litre of kerosene be supplied to all eligible new family cardholders every month from Pongal this year.
