Three TRS members suspended for two days from Council
Hyderabad, Feb 21 (UNI) Three members of the Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS), demanding house resolution on Telangana, were suspended from the Legislative Council for two days for stalling the proceedings.
The TRS members raised to their feet, demanding immediate resolution on Telangana, when the house reassembled after being adjourned for 15 minutes due to pandemonium created by opposition TDP members after Chairman A Chakrapani rejected their adjournment motion on passing a resolution for according classical status for the Telugu language.
The Chairman said the house cannot take up the matter since it had already been rejected by it. However, the TRS members did not listen to the Chairman's advise and tried to stall the proceedings.
Legislative Affairs Minister K Rosaiah, now moved a motion, urging the Chairman to suspend the TRS members named in the motion.
The Chairman then suspended R Satyanarayana, MA Rehman and A Dilip Kumar and asked them to leave the house. When they refused, the marshals physically lifted them.
