Three persons killed in a blast in industrial unit

Fatehgarh Sahib, Feb 21 (UNI) Three persons died in a blast today in an industrial unit of Mandi Gobindgarh town in this district, police said.

According to Mandi Gobindgarh SHO Sukhjit Singh Virk, two persons died on the spot in Prem Steel and Metal Private Limited, while the third worker succumbed to his injuries on way to Chandigarh after a gas-cutter cylinder apparently blasted in the industrial unit.

Mr Virk said that police was still verifying the exact cause of the accident as all three persons present on the spot were killed.

Fatehgarh Sahib Deputy Commissioner Ashok Singla and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dr Kaustabh Sharma also reached the spot and a magisterial probe has been ordered into the incidence.
