Three Indian fishermen reported missing
Rameswaram, Feb 21 (UNI) Three Indian fishermen, who ventured into sea for fishing from Rameswaram Island, were reported missing today.
Official sources here said a group of fishermen ventured into the sea yesterday morning in 713 mechanised fishing boats. One boat was found missing when the fishermen returned to the shore this morning, causing anxious moments to fisherfolk.
The missing fishermen were identified as Layola, Kennedy and Sthanislas, all hailing from Rameswaram town.
The Fisheries Department was alerted about the missing fishermen.
A group of fishermen ventured into the sea this afternoon to trace the missing ones, after getting a search order from the authorities.
