Three crushed to death in Karnal

Karnal, Feb 21 (UNI) Three youths were crushed to death and their friend was injured when a tractor trawler loaded with sugarcane fell on their motorbike near Khera-turn on the Karnal-Indri road last night, police said here today.

The deceased were identified as Manoj (15), Sanjiv (19) and Rahul (19). The injured, identified as Dharampal(18), was rushed to Indri civil hospital.

All the four youths were returning to Khera village on motorcycle after serving as waitors in a marriage at Indri. While overtaking a car, they came face to face with a tractor moving with double trawler laden with sugarcane. As the tractor driver tried to save them, one of the trawler fell on them.
