National workshop on 'Mathematical Modelling in Biology'

Tirupati, Feb 21 (UNI) As part of silver jubilee celebrations of the Sri Padmavathi Mahila Viswa Vidyalayam (SPMVV), the Department of Applied Mathematics is organising a five-day national worshop on 'Mathematical Modelling in Biology', in collaboration with C R Rao Advanced Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science (CRRAIMCS), Hyderabad, here from February 23 to 27.

The workshop would be inaugurated by Penn State University (USA) Padma Vibhushan C R Rao and it would provide training in focused areas like computational biology, ecology, physiological fluid dynamics on certain selected problems in biology, its organising Secretary and SPMVV Vice-Chancellor G Sarojamma said here today.

Eminent scientists from IITs, ISI and Central and State Universities across the country would attend the workshop, she added.
