'Maasi Magam' held in Puducherry

Puducherry, Feb 21: A large number of devotees thronged the Vaithikuppam beach here today to offer prayers to deities from different temples on the occasion of "Maasi Magam".

As many as 73 deities, including Gingee Ranganathar and Mylam Murugar, were brought to the beach where 'Theerthavari' was performed. Elaborate security arrangements were made by the police to maintain law and order.
